Switched PDUs provide easy control over a long distance also. Switched PDUs offer to use that data and disable individual power outlets. It helps in managing critical issues within few clicks on a smart phone or computer. Other features includes disabling the problem equipment by cutting power to specific outlets, reboot equipment remotely by cycling power which in-turn saves time and money by avoiding sending technicians to the source of the issue.
